My stomach is only flat in the morning, I have love handles, stretch marks in new places, my boobs are bigger and get super flat after feeding and pumping and I have more cellulite than ever man and you know what? I’m fine with it, it would be a lie to say I love it but it’s here and it’s a beautiful symbol of the new me, transformed inside and out, I am a mother. Becoming a mother (whether you carried a child or not) is a huge transition and is not easy like on TV and social media! When I was preggo I was always like “Oh I can’t wait to snap back, I’m about to be in the gym, I want abs by my birthday.” Then I had her and I was like yeah, no. Instagram and other social media platforms give you this false idea of how easy it is to have a baby and get you body back when the truth is, in order for you to get that body back that means having a babysitter/nanny/family member to watch your baby and/or  not breastfeeding and/or having to have a lot of milk pumped for the baby when you aren’t around. I truly hope women do not really hold themselves to such a standard of this new “Snap-back” trend. And truth is, ALL bodies are different! I didn’t work our when I was pregnant, however I walked A LOT, does that mean if you do the same you will have the same results? Absolutely not! Please stop being fooled by social media, it’s only showing the good parts of life. Think about it, you post pictures on your good days, when that lighting is hitting you right and you have that new outfit on. No one is posting pictures when they feel bloated, or after they have  been crying their eyes out because being an adult can suck ass, or because being a new mother is overwhelming!

I love being a mom, it's the greatest feeling in the world. Eventually I will start working out but I'm not in a rush to! I literally have so many things to do when Grae goes to sleep, the gym is not my priority...it's usually a nap lol. I'll be doing a post about the double standard of motherhood soon, they're SO real!
